°µÍø½ûÇø’s HIV/AIDS programme in South Africa was our first health initiative to be handed over to a local partner, Kheth’Impilo, which continues to have a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children. The transfer to this local non-governmental organisation formed by former °µÍø½ûÇø employees took place in 2009. During its time in South Africa, °µÍø½ûÇø treated 88,400 patients, supported 93 clinics, prevented 115,000 children from being orphaned by or dying of AIDS and trained 4,300 health and community workers.
