From bespoke school-based training to a vast online learning platform, you will have access to a diverse and wide-reaching range of resources all carefully selected to ensure you can be the best teacher you can be. In addition to this, you’ll be able to collaborate with, learn from and share best practice with other teachers from across our 39 schools during our termly Network Days.
At °µÍø½ûÇø Academy I have felt supported through each stage of my career so far from starting out as a Teaching Assistant and joining the °µÍø½ûÇø Teacher Training programme. Having access to the training and development available at °µÍø½ûÇø has allowed me to develop over time with the support of many different people.

Professional development opportunities
Great Teacher Rubric
As a network, we are committed to developing our teachers so they can do their best work with children. The Great Teacher Rubric is a tool to support and evaluate our teachers to help them continually improve. It encompasses our vision for teacher development.
Mentoring for impact
Instructional coaching is one of the most powerful ways to improve the quality of teaching. We will equip you with the knowledge and skills to mentor and coach others effectively.
Co-planning
We believe that planning is key to teaching great lessons and working with colleagues to co-plan means that you can develop as a planner and learn from the expertise of others. Our schools offer protected co-planning to ensure that teachers have the time to collaborate to create strong lessons.
School-based training
Every school provides weekly training for teaching staff. These sessions will include pedagogical research, models of best practice and opportunities to practise applying these new skills before going ‘live’ in the classroom.
°µÍø½ûÇø Learning Platform
The °µÍø½ûÇø Learning Platform is the single place to access professional development and learning opportunities at °µÍø½ûÇø:
- eLearning courses
- Face-to-face workshop/event bookings
- Development programme resources
Network days
Our Primary and Secondary Network Days take place three times per year. These INSET days are an opportunity for teachers from across the network to come together to work collaboratively and support one another through sharing best practice to improve teaching and learning strategies, offering deep dives into data and enhancing subject knowledge through curriculum focused CPD.
